MY COMMENT:

I really liked your Dozen Photo Challenge because all your photos were different yet fit together really well as a whole. I feel like you did a good job showing variety in each section while still keeping the photos interesting to look at. My favorite section was probably the lighting one because the lighting in those photos made the subjects stand out really nicely, especially in the bird and butterfly pictures. I also liked the composition section because the different angles, framing, and patterns made each photo feel unique. Overall, I think you did a really good job showing the different photography techniques in a creative way, and your photos were really nice to look through.

ANALOGOUS COLOR

Part 1

For this assignment, I chose my flower image as my most successful photo. Out of all the photos I took, this one is my favorite because I feel like it came out the strongest overall. The flower is the main focus right away, and the blurred background helps it stand out even more instead of distracting from it. I also like how the colors work together in the image because the yellow flower stands out nicely against the green background, which makes the photo feel more balanced and visually pleasing. Overall, this image feels the most intentional and polished to me compared to the rest.

The most challenging part of this assignment was taking the photos themselves because I wanted to perfect them, so it took me a lot of tries before I was finally able to get the twelve images I wanted. A lot of the time I would take a photo and then realize the angle was off, the lighting was not as good as I wanted, or the image just did not come out the way I pictured it. Because of that, I kept retaking photos until I felt like they matched the categories better and looked stronger overall. It definitely took more time than I expected, but it also made me pay closer attention to the small details in each shot.

In the future, I want to create stronger images by planning my shots out more carefully before taking them and experimenting with different angles sooner instead of waiting until after I have already taken multiple photos. I also want to keep paying attention to lighting, focus, and background details because I realized those things make a huge difference in how successful a photo looks. This assignment helped me understand that getting a strong image sometimes takes patience and multiple attempts, but that process can lead to a better final result.

I liked how vibrant the colors in your dozen photo challenge are. Despite all of the photos being different I liked how you could tell some were connected, like the ones taken on the beach. My favorite of your photos has to be the Negative Space. The sprawling beach sand works perfectly for the technique. Although, I would have cropped out the people in the background to better emphasize the negative space. Overall I think you did an amazing job on the challenge and again, the vibrant colors on your photos are amazing.
